Background: Pregnancy and childbirth are natural cycles for women, but there is still a risk of complications. Taking certain precautions in TM III can help to avoid complications, one of which is with acupressure which aims to expedite the delivery process. The incidence of prolonged labor in the world averages 8% causing maternal death and in Indonesia by 9%. Every pregnancy has risks in dealing with childbirth, in order to minimize complications of prolonged labor, acupressure intervention for TM III pregnant women is expected to be a solution. Purpose: Massage on the LI-4 acupoints is expected to be able to influence the onset and increase in contractions so that it is more effective in accelerating the delivery process without harmful side effects. Methods: Thirty-six TM III pregnant women were divided into 2 groups (18 treatments and 18 controls) with a randomized control trial design. In the treatment group, LI-4 point acupressure was performed 2 times a day, 30 massages for 60 seconds. While the control group did not receive treatment. Followed by the process of pregnancy until delivery using the observation sheet and partograph as a tool to measure the length of the labor process .Results: There is a significant relationship between the effectiveness of giving LI-4 point acupersure and the acceleration of the delivery process in the treatment group with the Pearson Chi Square test results of the Asymp value. Sid(2-sided) 0.001 <0.05. Conclusion: Acupressure at the LI-4 point is effective in facilitating the delivery process compared to the control group.
